Here are the steps to format memory card using Nokia 5800. You do not need to take out the memory card, or connect the phone to your PC.

1. Press the white menu button.
2. Select “Applications”.
3. Select “File mgr.”.
4. Double-click on “E: Memory Card” (Figure 1).

5. Select “Options”.
6. Select “Memory Card Options” and then “Format” (Figure 2).
